Betty Ford Clinic - The Club

The next, and very last, Betty Ford Clinic will be on 27th June 2008 between 10pm and 4am at Deep Blue, SEOne.

There will be NO Betty Ford Clinic in May 2008. However, we're getting everything ready for the very last ever Betty Ford Clinic on Friday June 27th 2008. There will be the usual suspect DJs, plus many of our previous DJs from Betty Ford Clinic and Dreadnought over the last three years. We'll put a list up as soon as I know who they are. Entry will £7, all concessions (and goth cards) £6.

Also, we're planning to have Ambulance Racing* in the spare room next door.

As usual, we will be playing goth, ebm, and industrial stompy stuff in the second. And there is a separate bar too. For buying drinks. And no toilet attendants or smoke machines. AND we have negotiated cheap drinks until midnight!

For those of you who have ordered The Goth Card, these will be available for collection from the front desk. If you would like a card of your own, or even another card, then just fill out an application form at the club.

* - Dodgems, really. But with a sticker on the front that says "Ambulance".

About

Betty Ford Clinic is goth/ebm club held on the 4th Friday by Psyche, Emily and Mathias. It's a goth/industrial club. We play both sorts of music. If you want to get an idea of the sort of things played, see the setlists. If you have not been to one before, see the dresscode section.

When / Where is it?

It is at Deep Blue, SEOne, Weston Street SE1 3QX between 10pm and 4am on these dates:

... and every fourth Friday therafter. There will be drinks specials until midnight.

The entrance is on Weston Street, London SE1 3QX at the Tooley Street end. Come out of London Bridge tube on the Tooley Street exit, turn right and the second right is Weston Street. It couldn't be any easier, could it? Click here for a location map.

We will also be opening early for Argentine Tango - both lessons for beginners and a separate practica, and also entry to the club afterwards.

Who is playing?

Beloved DJs are:

And some other ones that Mathias can't remember because it is 10pm and he's very tired...

Dresscode

It's a goth / industrial / EBM club. Dress for a goth or industrial club. We're not going to tell you what to wear. We'll just take the piss out of you if you get it wrong, or (more likely) the doorbirds won't let you in.

Jeans and trainers are not ok, unless, just possibly, they are black jeans and New Rock / Swears trainers.

If you turn up blind drunk wearing a suit at quarter past eleven having just been thrown out of the Horniman round the corner, and you picked up a discarded flyer on the street, then we're obviously not going to let you in. Someone tried this last time.

This rule is basically to keep tracksuited and trainered drunks out of the club. Having said which, if you do need to turn up dressed formally (e.g. if you're an on call doctor, nurse or fireman) then mail us and we will see what we can do.

And if you dress like the guy in the crow with a white face and dribbly make-up we will probably let you in just to laugh at you.

Cost & Discounts

The club alone always costs £7, or we will give the discounted entry rate (£6) for Students / Unemployed, even if we are doing something else earlier in the evening (like Tango or a concert). So you have no excuse not to go, especially as we've managed to get you two clubs for the price of one.
